American Beauty (1999)
I saw this film in the theatre during high school. It was one of those films that showed me that a film can be more than a James Cameron action film. I love the comedy, the emotion, and the issues dealt with. I depicted the dream sequence where Mina Suvari is on the ceiling with rose petals falling. I get scrutinized for liking this film, but I don’t need to explain myself when it won an Oscar!
