This Halloween season, I finally took the plunge and did the Inktober task of drawing 31 drawings throughout the month. I had the crazy idea of also participating in Shocktober by watching 31 horror movies throughout the month, so i combined them and drew what I watched all month. Almost all of them were rewatches of movies I own, to make it easier and did ALL slasher movies. Here are the 31 drawings….
Skin Deep #1 is done and ready to be sent to the printers! It will be available for purchase at Boston Comic Con and online shortly after. Here is one of my favorite pages from the book. We are excited to share with you the first of three parts of our crazy story!
I have been pretty slow at posting things on my blog lately, and there is a reason for it. SKIN DEEP! I have been hard at work finishing off all 38 pages of story for the upcoming first issue! Finally, it’s done. I plan on sharing some more snippets of art from the book as the weeks come. Here is a teaser image for the back of the book. Prepare to lose your lunch!
Happy Halloween all! Halloween is one of my favorite days of the year! I always love throwing on a mask and being creative with costumes. So this is the final Scary piece of art for October! With the stockpile crew, we did a jam piece created, layed out and colored by Jesse Munoz. I did “The Thing” here’s my original inks and the finished piece.
Back at it again! I love October, and all that comes with it, especially horror movies! But the best part is my buddies and I creating horror themed art during the month of Stock-tober at stockpilecomics.com! So since it’s the third year, it has been labeled as Stock-tober 3-D. And I decided to keep with the theme and give you 3-D versions of your favorite slasher characters of all time!
First up is a character who’s simplistic design strikes fear as he stands and stares. Michael Myers, from the classic John Carpenter’s Halloween.
And I attached the original ink drawing afterwards for a better look.
Again, during halloween, I have been invited by the boys at stockpile comics to contribute my art to “STOCKTOBER”. A month long event of halloween/horror themed pieces of artwork. Follow the fun at http://www.stockpilecomics.tumblr.com. This year, I have decided to base all of my posts on “Slasher Flicks”. And I figured I would come right out the gate with something shocking! If you haven’t seen Sleepaway camp, then Spoiler Heavy. If you have seen it, then you know how disturbing this scene was. I wanted to exaggerate the mouth especially as it always gave me the chills when I saw the scene! See you next week with another slasherific post.
