As fate would have it, my studio has been drenched. I had to dispose of many bookcases, supplies, books, amongst dealing with damaged goods. I haven’t had as much time to work on Rander stuff since I don’t have anywhere comfortable to work, so this week I am going to share something I was going to wait on. As promised, this week I am sharing with you the finished product of the Return to Rander trading cards that will be part of the Stockpile Comics trading card series 1 set. Look for them in the upcoming con season!
Now that it is February, I’m starting to get things going for the upcoming con season. I will be returning to Heroes 2018 with the Stock*Pile crew which is very exciting. I have a lot to get done before that show including finishing the new Return to Rander book, Skin Deep 2, and some extra stuff that I am excited to make. Today, I’m sharing the beginning stages of artwork for the Matador trading card in the Stock*Pile Comics trading card Series 1 set. I still have some work to do on it, plus color it.
Now that I am on to post production on finishing u the Return to Rander “Complete Edition” (Not sure that will be the name) I have been doing some lettering. Here is a behind the scenes panel in the process of lettering. I really think that this additional chapter that takes place in between the original chapters 2 and 3 is really awesome and adds a lot more insight into the characters. Until next time….

Another new mini, or as some call a “Micro” comic. This one takes place right before Issue #2 of RR. Literally right to the second it starts. It deals with Blane’s personal demons that we have gotten a glimpse at in “The Red Edge Ghost” short story a few years back. Enjoy.
For a special celebration of 125 episodes of Sunday in Rander, I bring you a new MINI COMIC! What’s special about this one, is that it features a fan favorite. The Matador!
Of course, this takes place before the events of the Graphic Novel.

We’re back! This special Sunday I wanted to let you know there is NEW Return to Rander coming out very very soon! While I am (slowly) working on the second issue of Return to Rander The Blood Isle (technically the 6th overall issue) I decided I wanted to tell a short story I had sitting in my word processing program. It will be a 12 page mini comic with a short print run. Very short. Like 100 issues short. This issue takes place immediately before Return to Rander #1 which is a fun little tidbit. I will start selling them at Heroes Con in Charlotte NC this June. Also, they will be FREE with a purchase of the RR Graphic Novel which is a great deal!
Here is the cover to the new mini-comic. It is printed on Ivory Paper, so the colors change a lot from what you see here.
Wow. It’s been a while Rander people. It seems that I am back at drawing Return to Rander again, issue 2 of the Blood Isle chapter. Here is the completed first panel of the issue! And if you wanna see me draw it via video, click the periscope link! I’m not sure when Issue 2 will be out, but I can safely say sometime in 2017 as I have a lot of things I am currently working on. We are getting closer and closer to the release of Return to Rander The Blood Isle Issue #1! In my hand I have a copy. And this week on Sunday in Rander, I am giving you a glimpse at a small part of it. This shows the first page of the small yarn I wrote and Joe Dax illustrated. This will be a back-up story following the 24 pages of story. This will be the only place to read this short story, so pre-order now! Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I have been very busy working on a new exciting comic with my brother in arms Rian Miller. We will be announcing this project soon. As for Return to Rander, I am pleased to share with you all the final cover for “The Blood Isle” #1! It is up for pre-order at my online store right now, It will start shipping April 1st! All pre-orders will get a sketch on the inside cover of the book. This will be for Pre-orders ONLY.

Happy New Year Rander fans! It’s a special week on Sunday in Rander as I bring to you the cover of Blood Isle Issue #1. This is just the inks at the moment with some added toning. This is the final piece of art that is needed to complete the issue. I am awaiting on some great bonus content from a few creators and then the book will be assembled and be ready for a spring release. I am looking to release it on April 1st, exactly 3 years after the first issue of Return to Rander: The Lone Savior #1. Hey Rander fans! It’s been a while since I posted about Return to Rander, and that is because there hasen’t been much to talk about. I recently began working on “The Blood Isle” again and have decided to release it in issue form as I did with “The Lone Savior”. I am working on the grey tones and will letter it in the coming months. At the moment I am looking at an April release and probably a large break after that. Stay tuned! A late Sunday this week. As many of you know Boston Comic Con 2015 happened this past weekend and it was my most successful and enjoyable con I have ever attended. This was the 5th year in a row that I tabled at Boston Comic Con. I sold a lot of books to new and old readers, got a lot of good feedback, and sold some original art! I was asked if there was a sequel coming out many times, and assured everyone that I am currently at work on it now. It’s a great feeling when people return to let you know that they enjoyed what they purchased from you. Thanks again to everyone who took a shot at my book! Another great thing that happened was having my “Tick” pinup in the Boston Con exclusive comic that came out over the weekend. NEC was kind enough to invite myself as well as Ian Nichols over to the booth for a signing of the issue. We had fun drawing Tick and Arthur on a line of fan’s covers for them. What a fun experience that was! I always have fun tabling with my buddies Joe Dax, Joel Lolar, Rian Miller and B-wise. I also have lots of now friends amongst the creators at the show, John Y, Jennie Wood, Jim Wahl, Matt Bisette, Jim Ghallager, Ian Nichols, Joe Mederios. I also got a chance to take home some amazing artwork of Cable by a few friends, as well as Nate Bellegarde. The 3 days went by way too fast, so until next year Boston Con…
